Our Mission

The Scene Seed exists to help build and sustain a thriving, connected and sustainable music community on the Sunshine Coast — for everyone involved.

Artists. Venues. Technicians. Promoters. Industry professionals. And the punters who show up, buy tickets and keep live music alive. Every layer of the ecosystem matters.

This isn’t about clout.

It isn’t about extracting value from a scene for personal gain.

It’s about putting energy back into the community that raised us — creating meaningful conversations, strengthening relationships and building opportunities that benefit the ecosystem as a whole.

We believe that a healthy music scene doesn’t happen by accident.

It happens when people communicate openly, collaborate intentionally and invest in each other’s growth.

What We Stand For

Connection over competition.
We believe collaboration strengthens the entire scene. When artists, venues and industry professionals support one another, everyone benefits.

Community over ego.
The focus is bigger than any one person or platform. The goal is long-term sustainability, not short-term recognition.

Transparency and conversation.
Honest dialogue creates understanding. Understanding builds trust. And trust builds strong creative communities.

Value staying local.
We aim to support local talent, local businesses and local industry operators — keeping creative and economic value circulating within our own region.

How We Bring This To Life

The Scene Seed is more than a podcast.

Through interviews, community conversations and industry collaboration, we create space for:

Open discussions about what’s working — and what isn’t.

Sharing lived experiences from artists and industry professionals.

Identifying gaps in the ecosystem.

Highlighting opportunities for growth and innovation.

Connecting people who may not otherwise cross paths.

By amplifying voices across every layer of the music community, we help build clarity, cohesion and momentum.

The Bigger Picture

A thriving scene benefits everyone.

It creates pathways for emerging artists.
It strengthens local venues and creative businesses.
It attracts opportunity and outside interest.
It builds cultural identity.
And it gives people a reason to gather, celebrate and feel connected to where they live.

We believe the Sunshine Coast has everything it needs to sustain a powerful, collaborative and uniquely local music culture.

Our role is simple:
Plant seeds.
Start conversations.
Support the people doing the work.
And nurture growth without expectation of return.

Because when the scene thrives, we all thrive.
